HORTICARE Nutrient METER PEN  You need to regularly check your hydroponic nutrient solution to assess how much nutrient your plants are absorbing and therefore to enable you to set your ec value. To do this you will need a nutrient meter with either an EC reading or a Cf reading (some meters have both). This meter measures the EC (ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY) which displays a decimal point in the reading but is ultimately the same as a CF reading.
The Horticare EC meter has a digital display, is water resistant and shock proof to a drop of 1.8 metres, with an automatic shut off facility and low battery alert. It is accurate to 0.2 of an EC point and requires 4 x 1.5v button cell batteries (supplied). Also supplied is a plant nutrient control chart.
