This Nutrient Film Tecnique system by Nutriculture is called Gro-Tank. A shallow film of water and nutrient recirculates past the roots. A layer of spreader mat ensures the even distribution of the solution, which is intended to result in a dense root 'mat' very quickly. NFT is designed to provide unlimited oxygen supply to the roots. As there is effectively no growing medium then there is no risk of root diseases.
A superb method of soiless growing, but it does require daily monitoring and attention for the best results.
